How do you cut off part of a picture in Photoshop?

The picture is great but in the backround just on the left had side is a spot I need to cut out ... can anyone tell me how to cut in photoshop?How do you cut off part of a picture in Photoshop?
Use Rectangular Marque tool, its a dotted rectangle icon on the tool menu. Select the area u want to delete and press delete. ( Check u r having layer name and not background, double click it to change, because its locked )





Or u can otherwise check rubber stamp tool select what u want in place of the spot, then start kind of painting the area over the spot, it will transform it from a spot to a part of ur backgroundHow do you cut off part of a picture in Photoshop?
