What's the difference between photoshop, corel painter, and illistrator when it comes to coloring a drawn ?

image on the computer.

i have photoshop... and have all sorts of brushes etc.. but am i missing outWhat's the difference between photoshop, corel painter, and illistrator when it comes to coloring a drawn ?
I dont think your missing out, it depends on what kind of drawing and what kind of style you are into.

Corel emulates real paint and real paper and real brushes, so if your trying to make something look like it was painted traditionally that is probably your best bet.

Illustrator is vector based and is best for quality line and fill work that can be easily scaled to any size. They have the gradient mesh tool, which does amazing things, but it takes lots of practice.if your looking for great clean lines and not so many detailed shadows and gradients go with illustrator

Photoshop Is awesome and I use it daily, its pretty easy to learn. I scan inked drawings in and color them with it. the layers and layer modes make it supreme. And the ability to adjust all the aspects of color in an image.

it all depends on what style your looking for

I like photoshop, but thats just my style of choice..
