How can I convert a photoshop document into a JPEG document?

I've searched the internet and I still haven't been able to find a successful conversion technique to changing a PSD file into a JPEG file. If anyone has any websites or techniques as to how I can convert this, please help me out.How can I convert a photoshop document into a JPEG document?
Make it simple.





First do a simple ';save'; of your Photoshop doc - in Photoshop.





Then use the ';save for web'; command, select JPG, so you can export without squashing your original file - saving your layers. You also get a live preview which is useful for seeing how your compression setting is effecting the quality of the image.





You may want to consider PNG instead since it's web browser friendly AND it maintains transparency effects when importing into Power Point - unlike jpg.

You need to have photoshop or some other program that can open PSD files. Then, if there ar layer you will need to flatten it. Then just ';save as'; and choose JPEG or JPG (its the same) on the file type, below the filename.
when you [save as..] the image, there will be the format options where you can chose whether to save it as bitmap,jpeg,photoshop etc. file.
I think if you open it in paint and then do Save As, under the File Name thing, you'll see a bar that says Save As Type. You can do it as a JPG. You might even be able to do it in Photoshop, I'm not sure. Good luck. Sorry if this is too basic, but sometimes the simplest answer is the most helpful.
Also after doing the above mentioned of saving your file using the save as option and changing the file format to JPEG you do want to be aware of flattening your image. Since photoshop does work in layers, only the layers that are viewed on the screen will be saved as your JPEG file. This is effective for saving different version of the image by hiding the unwanted layers. This all depends on the complexity of your file.
