How to save picture from photoshop so I can send it in an email?
Whenever I just save as and send it in an email it makes you download adobe ps cs3. How can I save it so its a regular picture and I can send it through email or post on Myspace?

Go to 'file', then 'save as' save the picture as a 'Jpeg' and then save it somewhere like 'my pictures' in 'my documents'. Open the picture in 'my pictures', right click on it and choose 'send to %26gt;email recipient'.
Goto file %26gt; export as image %26gt; choose JPEG or PNG format...then it'll export the image to the destination where the project is saved or choose destination you want too

How is Adobe Photoshop CS4 different from Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 in terms of contents etc.?
Photoshop elements is made for light use, maybe cropping that picture, correcting lights, cutting out that creepy lady in the background, creating great looking pictures, etc....

Along with that, you can also run a filter that will make the image look like it was printed on the type of printer that is synonymous with comic printing.
Its called a half tone effect and you can run it by clicking...
Filter/Pixelate/Color halftone
you can mess with the setting until you get what you want.
It's an interesting effect.

You didn't say what kind of comic book. If its a drawing thats already comic, than you are a good way there. There's a great site related to Anime in Photoshop which instructs how to create opacity layers using your magic wand and using gradient fills. Extra step -- use a subtle watercolor filter also.
A standard picture could be tricky, but I guess I would start by making it grayscale and using extreme contrast. Then I would switch back to RGB and start dinking with those layers and effects. Good luck.
What are the main characteristics of comic book art? of course there are exceptions but they are basically:
- Forms are defined by lines drawned with ink using a pen or brush.
- Highly-saturated flat colors
- Simplified backgrounds
- Simplified color shading or non at all if the ink work is good.
You can use layers and masks on photoshop and even some of the artistic filters to flatten the colors. For the ink work... nothing in the basic package can do that. There is probably a third party plug-in for $ale, otherwise you will have to put your drawing abilities to use.

If you download an action file (.atn) you can save it wherever you want (i suggest some folder where you collect your actions).
The easiest way to add them to the actions panel (Window-%26gt;Actions) in Photoshop simply double-click the file and it will add itself (you will get no confirmation or dialog box, but it will show up in the list).
